- ➤ Sangamon County held a public signing event Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the County Building for a steel beam that will become part of the Springfield–Sangamon County Hub—where transit services and public amenities will be consolidated—with former Congressman Rodney Davis and county leaders present. - ➤ Springfield Plastics donated $143,550.31 to Simmons Cancer Institute and $8,250 to HSHS St. John’s Cancer Center through its 2025 Drain for the Cure fundraiser. Since 2014, the program has raised over $1.2 million from employees, customers and business partners. WMAY
