- ➤ Cristobal Santana, a Chicago man accused of shooting an Illinois State Trooper near Toronto Road at 10:50 p.m., began his trial today at Sangamon County Circuit Court—he faces multiple felony charges including attempted murder after police pursued and arrested him at 2 a.m. ABC 20
