CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Sangamon County Coroner identified 36-year-old Rekeea Jackson-Mason as the victim of an early-morning shooting on Saturday in Springfield at Holly Drive—police responded around 3:30 a.m. and are still searching for the shooter. WAND-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Live theater will return to Enos Park on July 25 and July 26 when SAAC presents Shakespeare in the Park with shows of The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet, with the park opening at 6:00 p.m. each night. The free event will be held at 1000 N. 7th Street (in partnership with Downtown Springfield, Inc. and the Springfield Park District) and offers VIP tickets (costing $25) to support local arts.
