- ➤ Springfield Police are investigating a hit run on June 27 when a car chased and struck a cyclist before fleeing the scene—officers reported receiving a call at 10:39 p.m. from the 1800 block of S 13th St and the injured rider was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. WCIA

- ➤ Springfield will host the Memorial Health Golf Championship this weekend as over 24,000 players, tourists & locals are expected to boost the local economy by an estimated $6.5 million through hotels, restaurants, retail, and charity contributions.
