- ➤ City officials approved $1.1 million each in federal Home ARP funds for Fifth Street Renaissance and Helping Hands to boost services for homeless and at-risk people, though two aldermen voted against the move. ABC 20
- ➤ Illinois passed a bill called the Prescription Drug Affordability Act to lower prescription drug costs and help small pharmacies, as it passed the Senate 56-1 and the House 115-1. - ➤ A bill now headed to Gov. JB Pritzker’s desk would let certified nurse midwives work with local doctors so they can offer home and out-of-hospital births in areas with few maternal health services—Illinois lawmakers passed it unanimously in the House and by a 57 to 1 vote in the Senate. 25 News
