- ➤ The FBI warned Illinois Microsoft 365 users about a phishing scam on May 28 that tricks victims into entering device codes on a fake verification page — a tactic that lets hackers bypass multi-factor authentication and access OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook accounts. The State Journal-Register

- ➤ Illinois turkey hunters set a new record this spring by harvesting 20,821 wild turkeys, surpassing last year’s total of 18,189 birds as reported by the Department of Natural Resources. Youth hunters led with 2,326 birds. WMAY

- ➤ State Sen. Chris Balkema's bill passed unanimously to remove the mute swan from the endangered list so hunters can target the invasive birds that are seen as harmful, though his wife voiced strong opposition to the change. Capitol City Now
- ➤ The Sangamon County Mental Health Committee held its first meeting yesterday in Springfield after voters approved a quarter-cent sales tax increase and its formation during the March primary; it plans to expand its board and hire an executive director soon (retired Judge Steve Nardulli was elected Chairman).
