- ➤ The Illinois Department of Agriculture said the Illinois Product Farmers Market will begin its 18th season this Thursday, May 15, from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Shed on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Visitors will enjoy Illinois-made food, live music, prize drawings and family activities — with events planned every Thursday through September 25. WMAY

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ University of Illinois Springfield Continuing and Professional Education will offer four summer camps for high school students to learn about public policy, environmental science, reading strategies, and artificial intelligence. The camps, which run from June 16—July 10 with fees from $99 to $249, will provide hands-on learning experiences on campus and at outdoor locations. The Sangamon Reporter

- ➤ Gov. JB Pritzker signed an executive order on May 7 that stops state agencies from collecting or sharing autism-related data except when strictly required by law (to ensure informed consent) in response to a federal effort to build an autism research database. - ➤ Senior women's tennis star Carmen Llopis Fabra was named Jimmy John's Athlete of the Month for April—she won all five singles matches and four of five doubles matches with her teammate.
