- ➤ HSHS St. John’s is sponsoring an inaugural organ donor memorial walk on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. at its Hospital Pavilion on 301 N. 8th Street in Springfield—coordinated by Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network to honor past donors including 14 patients from 2024 with a marked route and a raised flag for National Organ Donation Month. - ➤ The Illinois Springfield men's golf team ended their season on Friday with a seventh-place finish among 20 teams at the Illinois College Blueboy Invite+ Leo Liu helped lead the effort while teammates posted solid performances. They now prepare for the GLVC Championship in Bolivar, Missouri from April 20th to 22nd+ where they will compete against top conference teams. University of Illinois Springfield
- ➤ The Glenwood Titans scored 15 unanswered runs after allowing a two run homer in the first inning on Saturday and won 15—2 over Quincy Notre Dame. Cameron Appenzeller and Colten Knoedler each drove in three runs to secure the win. WNNS
- ➤ The UIS baseball team won 5-3 on Friday afternoon at UIS Baseball Field against Missouri Southern — extending its 13-game win streak and improving its record to 22-10 this season. University of Illinois Springfield
- ➤ Glenwood won a 7-2 game over Dunlap Saturday afternoon when four Titans scored. Rylann Law made a hat trick and Rowann Law scored two goals while Leah Bolletta and Ellie Johnson also scored— the team will travel to Pleasant Plains on Tuesday. WNNS
- ➤ Springfield High's Senators rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to score four second-half goals and win 4-1 against Athens, improving to 9-1 this season. Addie Maddox scored twice plus Ainsley Lambert and Lucy Ambrose each added a goal to secure the comeback victory. WNNS
