- ➤ Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month at HSHS St. John's Hospital where local child welfare advocates gathered for a blue pinwheel display symbolizing a safe childhood. - ➤ Kaleigh Inniss won the 1500 meters in 5:02.51 at the IC Thursday Throwdown while teammate Marissa Roggensack finished second and the relay team placed third; Madelyn Miller-Ross will run Friday at Stanford and the team will compete Apr. 9-10 in Warrensburg. University of Illinois Springfield
