- ➤ A small business owner at Twin Towers Mall announced she will not renew her lease, leaving a vacant storefront that may alter the mall's mix. She confirmed the decision on Feb. 28 (the lease will end as scheduled). 25 News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ UIS announced that Ashley Blevins Krivi will serve as the Assistant Track & Field Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. Her 15 years of coaching experience at North Mac High and Auburn Junior High will help grow the Prairie Stars track program alongside its cross country team. University of Illinois Springfield
- ➤ IC Catholic Prep won the 2A state semifinal 60-12 over Glenwood, with Mason Streb scoring 215 and Jaxon Ferguson scoring 120. Glenwood will wrestle Mahomet Seymour for third place at 6 p.m. while the Knights face New Lenox Providence Catholic at 6 p.m. for the state title. WNNS
- ➤ Prairie Stars men's tennis will return home Saturday, Mar. 7 at Springfield Racquet & Fitness Club to build on three February wins, two with a 6-1 score. They are led by Pablo Herrera with a 6-2 record and Lin En Tan at 5-2, and will face Roosevelt in a match. University of Illinois Springfield
